One may be used to seeing Force India's F1 car with traditional green, white and orange colours of the Indian flag, but that would be a thing of the past as it has been replaced by silver, black and orange as the car's new look was revealed at a ceremony in Mexico City.
Though the livery was displayed on the show car in Mexico, the team's new design will not appear until February.
The Australian Grand Prix, which has been scheduled on 15 March, is the first grand prix in the 2015 F1 calendar.
The new look of the car reflects the growth of the team, feels Force India owner, Dr. Vijay Mallya. VJM08 F1 car is an evolution of the VJM07.
The team will reportedly use 2014 challenger, the VJM07, in the season's first pre-season test in Jerez in Spain and not the VJM08.
Due to strategic reasons, the team has decided to hold back their new VJM08 until the second pre-season test schedule for 19-22 February, reported Sky Sports.
"It's another evolution of the contemporary look we introduced last year, which reflects the growth of the team and the global brands with which we are working," the official website of Formula One quoted Mallya as saying.
"I love the addition of silver, which makes the car appear more sleek and aggressive and I'm sure it's something that will appeal to the fans as well. Our traditional team colours remain integrated in the livery, but we've given it a very modern twist."
Though the car might not have undergone wholesale changes, it has made some subtle changes, which includes sculpting of the sidepods and new cooling intakes. The new car will also witness a nose design, which was not present in their 2014 car.
"The front of the car looks very different from what we had developed previously," said technical director Andrew Green.
"It is a redesign that involved a lot of work over the winter, as the new regulations caused a loss in terms of downforce and we've been working to claw back all that performance."
In the run up to the first pre-season test at Jerez, Mclaren Honda, Ferrari, Toro Rosso and Mercedes will launch their cars on 29, 30, 31 January and 1 February respectively.
