Ricardo Medina, who is most famous for playing Deker in "Power Rangers Samurai" and Cole Evans - the Red Wild Force Ranger - on "Power Rangers Wild Force", has been arrested for allegedly attacking and killing his roommate with a sword.
The 36-year-old had an argument with roommate Joshua Sutter at around 4 p.m. on Saturday, following which Medina retreated to his bedroom with his girlfriend, reports TMZ. Sutter reportedly forced his way in to settle the dispute, when Medina grabbed a sword he had kept near the door and stabbed him in the abdomen.
It has been learnt that Medina called "911" and waited for help. Sutter was rushed to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Los Angeles County Sheriff's officials have detained him, where his bail is set at $1 million.
"He's been my friend and client for 12 years and he's a great guy," Medina's agent Gar Lester told the Times, before adding that he is on great terms with everyone: "He's great to his dog, he's great to his people. He's really a superperson."
Medina has not been professionally that active in recent years. In fact, the last time he acted, was in "Power Rangers Super Samurai" (2012), wherein he reprised the role of Deker.
