If the latest reports on the web is anything to go by, all muscle car lovers in India will finally get a chance to hold the steering wheel of the much-awaited Ford Mustang soon. The latest exciting buzz is that the iconic Mustang from the house of Ford is set to take to the Indian roads in early 2016.
As motor enthusiasts gear up for India's biggest auto carnival, Auto Expo 2016, it is almost certain that the long wait for Ford Motors' iconic car could be finally coming to an end. Ford Mustang will be showcased in the month of February, giving credence to the earlier report of ET Auto. The price tag is predicated to be in the range of Rs 65 lakh to Rs 70 lakh making it one of the main attractions at the wheels expo.
Earlier, the Mustang GT Premium Fastback was spotted at the Automotive Research Association of India (ARAI), Pune, for government approvals.
From what we know, under the hood, the Mustang is expected to get a 5-litre V8 engine that produces 434PS and powerful 542Nm torque and is expected to come equipped with a 6-speed SelectShift automatic transmission.
The Mustang is expected to boast automatic HID headlamps,LED fog lamps, LED tail lamps and rear diffuser as standard fittings. Other features expected include dual-zone climate control, a multi-function steering wheel and two air bags in the front along with curtain and knee bags for added protection.
