Ford Figo Aspire

The launch of Ford's new sedan has been confirmed with emerging reports suggesting that the Figo Aspire will enter the market by mid-August.

An OverDrive report reveals that Ford Figo Aspire launch is scheduled for 12 August. Ford has opened the bookings for the new Figo sedan on 27 July.

For the uninitiated, Figo Aspire, the latest offering from the Ford stable in the sedan segment, will be available with three engine options: 1.2-liter Ti-VCT petrol, 1.5-litre TDCI and 1.5-litre Ti-VCT motor. Apart from this, it wil come with two transmission options, five-speed manual transmission and six-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.

The base model of Figo Aspire will be powered by 1.2-liter Ti-VCT engine, which can churn out 88 PS @ 6300 rpm and 112 Nm @ 4000 rpm of peak torque and come mated to a five-speed manual transmission, whereas the 1.5-liter TDCi that has the capacity to produce 100PS of power and 215Nm of torque will come with 5-speed manual gearbox. The third engine in the line-up, the 1.5-liter Ti-VCT, is tuned to produce 112 PS @ 6300 rpm and 136 Nm @ 4250 rpm of torque with 6-Speed dual clutch automatic gearbox.

To be produced at the company's facility in Sanand, Gujarat, Ford Figo Aspire will carry a price tag in the range of Rs 5.2 lakh and Rs 7 lakh.
