It looks like US auto major Ford's Endeavour SUV is gearing up for yet another price revision in India. While the base variants of the Endeavour, Trend, is likely to see a price cut of up to Rs 1 lakh, the top-end variant, Titanium, will see a hike in prices.
Although the reason for the latest move is not known, the price change is likely to be reflected from December, TeamBHP reported.
Ford India had recently discontinued the entry-level 2.2L Trend 4×2 MT variant of Endeavour and the SUV is now available only in five variants. Endeavour has a starting price tag of Rs 23.78 lakh. Endeavour's 2.2L 4X2 AT Trend and 2.2L 4X4 MT Trend variants have been priced at Rs 23.78 lakh.
Endeavour 3.2L 4X4 AT Trend is priced at Rs 25.93 lakh and 3.2L 4X4 AT Titanium and 2.2L 4X2 AT Titanium gets a price tag of Rs 29.76 lakh and 27.5 lakh respectively (all prices ex-showroom Delhi).
Ford Endeavour gets two TDCi diesel-engines under the hood -- 3.2-litre Duratorq five-cylinder TDCi diesel and 2.2-litre Duratorq four-cylinder TDCi diesel units. While the 2.2-litre engine develops 158bhp and 385Nm of torque, the 3.2-litre engine develops 197bhp and 470Nm of torque. In the 2.2-litre version, the engine come paired to both a six-speed manual and automatic transmission and claims to deliver a mileage of 14.12 kmpl with manual transmission and 12.62 kmpl with automatic transmission.
The third generation Endeavour is pitted against Toyota Fortuner and Mitsubishi Pajero Sport in Indian market.
