US auto major Ford has rolled out a special edition of its popular SUV the EcoSport in India to add cheer to this festive season in India. The new EcoSport that comes with Signature edition range of accessories has been priced at Rs 9.26 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
Ford EcoSport Signature edition is essentially the EcoSport Black Titanium with a range of accessories. The Signature Edition packs LED daytime running lamps placed just below the fog lamps, silver appliqué on the front and rear bumpers and new side body graphics. There is also black roof rails and cross bars.
Inside the cabin, the new edition of the EcoSport gets black vinyl seat covers with red stitching. Other features include black grille, black-out moulded headlamps, 16-inch black alloy wheels, black mirror covers, black fog lamp bezel, black roof rails and roof cross bars.
Under the hood, the EcoSport Signature edition gets the same 1.0-litre EcoBoost, 1.5-litre Ti-VCT petrol engine and 1.5-TDCi diesel unit. While the 1.0-litre EcoBoost petrol engine of the EcoSport develops 123bhp and 170Nm of torque mated to five-speed manual transmission, the 1.5-litre Ti-VCT petrol engine churns out 109bhp and 140Nm of torque mated to either manual or automatic transmission. The 1.5-TDCi diesel engine is tuned to pump in 99bhp power and 205Nm torque mated to five-speed manual transmission.
In September, the domestic sales of the Indian-arm of the US carmaker registered a growth of 9 percent to 9,018 units as against 8,274 units in the same period a year ago. However, during the same period, the export of Ford witnessed a fall of 4.11 percent to 13,572 units compared to 14,154 units in September last year.
