Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) chairman Mukesh Ambani has topped the Forbes list of India's 100 richest tycoons for the ninth consecutive year with a net worth of $22.7 billion. His wealth went up from last year's $18.9 billion to $22.7 billion (over Rs 1.5 lakh crore) riding on the back of Reliance shares witnessing a 21 per cent spike in 12 months.
Sun Pharmaceutical Industries boss Dilip Shanghvi bagged the second spot with $16.9 billion; his net wealth dipped by $1.1 billion since last year. At number three are the Hinduja brothers — Srichand, Gopichand, Prakash, and Ashok — with net worth of $15.2 billion, followed by tech magnate Azim Premji, who banked $15 billion last year.
Rounding off the top 10 list are Pallonji Mistry, Lakshmi Mittal, Godrej family, Shiv Nadar, Kumar Birla and Cyrus Poonawalla.
