Hayama, who is a prominent character of the popular anime series, "Food Wars! Shokugeki no Soma," has been absent from the series for a long time now. Fans have been speculating whether he has joined the Central in order to become the best chef.
Several recent rumours surfacing over the internet say that he disappeared because of his feelings for Jun. Hayama is known for never giving up or accepting defeat without giving a tough fight. However, it seems that for Jun, he is willing to do anything, even leave the ongoing Shokugeki battles.
Other speculations suggest that Hayama has joined another school. Fans have supported the speculation as it would be very unlikely of him to join the same school from where he was expelled for not cooperating in a major Shokugeki battle that he lost.
However, some other fans are sure that Hayama will join only Central, since in order to win Jun's trust back, he has to stick to his goal of becoming the number one chef in the entire world and only Central can provide him with such training.
There is a significant possibility that Azami will approve of Hayama and give one of the three available seats to him as previously, the latter had won the best 1st year award and was also the winner of Autumn elections while still studying at the Central.
If Hayama returns to Central, it surely won't be good news for Soma, the protagonist of the anime series, as only Hayama is probably as skilled as him. Besides, Soma also suspects that Hayama is influenced by evil. If that is the case, Soma will have to be really careful with the Shokugeki battles in future.
Whether Hayama will return to Central and fight against Soma or not, will be seen only once "Food Wars! Shokugeki no Soma" Season 2, also known as "Food Wars! Shokugeki no Soma: The Second Plate" Episode 7 titled "Beasts Devouring Each Other" is aired. The premiere date of the episode hasn't been announced yet.
