The second season of "Food Wars! Shokugeki No Soma" is titled "Food Wars! Shokugeki no Soma: The Second Plate". The new season emphasises on a blend of two popular genres, namely "food" and "anime."
The anime series became an immediate hit among the manga and anime community for its unique representation of politics over food.
In the fall tournament preliminaries, the protagonist of the series, Soma, lost to Hayama by just one point.
Naturally, Soma was very upset with the conclusion, but he kept himself calm to win the next round and vowed to give his best in the finals.
Apart from Soma, Megumi, Takumi, Hisako, Alice, Kurokiba, Hayama, and Mimasaka will also be participating in the finals. Fans are eagerly looking forward to watch the results of the finals.
According to Movie News Guide, assortments of recipes have been showcased in the second season of "Food Wars" that has left the fans drooling over the delicious food. Some of the most mouth-watering looking food displayed on the show includes Gotcha Pork Roast and Yukihara Style Chaliapin Don.
As reported by The Bit Bag, Gotcha Pork Roast recipe is made of pork roast without using pork loin and is laced with mashed potatoes, onions and mushrooms. As a final touch, it is layered with bacon and red wine, soy sauce and sake sauce.
In his first shokugeki against Ikumi Mito, Soma prepared Yukihara Style Chaliapin Don, which was prepared with cheap ingredients available in a common supermarket. However, the dish was appreciated by the jury and they liked Soma's innovative style of cooking.
"Food Wars! Shokugeki no Soma: The Second Plate", episode 4 titled, "The Pursuer" will air on July 23.
