Tiger Shroff's "A Flying Jatt" has made average box office collection over its first weekend at the worldwide market.
The super-hero film has earned Rs. 4 crore (approx) in the overseas market by the end of its 1st weekend, taking its 6-day total nett worldwide collection close to Rs. 40 crore (approx). On the other side, "Happy Bhag Jayegi" has taken its nett worldwide earning to over Rs. 28 crore in 12 days.
"A Flying Jatt" was expected to make a good impact at the box office, but the film failed to create the expected ripples, both in overseas and domestic markets. After making a collection of Rs. 29.45 crore at Indian box office in its first 3 days, "A Flying Jatt" earned Rs. 2.50 crore on 1st Monday and Rs. 2 crore on first Tuesday, taking its 6-day nett domestic business to Rs. 33.95 crore nett.
"#AFlyingJatt Thu 7.10 cr, Fri 6 cr, Sat 7.35 cr, Sun 9 cr, Mon 2.50 cr, Tue 2 cr. Total: 33.95 cr. India biz [sic]," tweeted Taran Adarsh.
Meanwhile, "A Flying Jatt" collected Rs. 4 crore (approx) in the first weekend in the overseas market. The 6-day worldwide collection (overseas plus Indian box office) of "A Flying Jatt" is around Rs. 40 crore (approx).
Multi-starrer "Happy Bhag Jayegi" had collected Rs. 22.11 crore nett at domestic market by the completion of its 10th day and its overseas collection by the end of 2nd weekend stood at Rs. 5 crore (approx). Adding Monday and Tuesday collection, Indian and overseas, 12 day worldwide earning of "Happy Bhag Jayegi" is around Rs. 28 crore (approx).
"Happy Bhag Jayegi," starring Abhay Deol, Diana Penty, Jimmy Shergill and Ali Fazal, is made on a budget of Rs. 18 crore and thus, the film has already become a profitable project for the producers. However, "A Flying Jatt" has a much bigger budget and its current pace at the box office might be worrisome for the makers of the film.
