European firm, Fly Mobile has launched an affordable Android smartphone F41+ in Indian market with a price-tag of ₹4,999.

"The market is inclined towards Smartphones more than ever. Amidst myriad high end smartphones taking over the market, the common man is still waiting for an affordable option that can make his life easy. We have designed Fly F40+ to fulfill this dream of the people." said Rahul Goel, chief executive officer, Fly Mobile, India.

"Fly has always manufactured products that bring a change in people's life and we will continue to do so to add value to the community," He added.

Fly F40+ sports a 4.0-inch WVGA capacitive touch screen with 480x800p display resolution and houses a 1GHz processor with 1GB RAM, 512MB ROM, 180MB user memory which can be expanded up to 32GB through microSD card.

The new Fly smartphone runs on a three generation old Android v2.3 Gingerbread OS which is a bit disappointment considering the fact the rival firms are offering their low-cost smartphones with newer v4.2 Jelly Bean OS.

Other mentionable features are that it packs a 3.0-megapixel camera on rear side and a VGA camera at the front.
