Motorola launched the 32GB variant of the Moto X (Gen 2) smartphone in time for holiday shopping. The announcement was made on Facebook by Flipkart, which has the exclusive rights to sell the handset online in India. According to the post, the 32GB Moto X (Gen 2) smartphone will be available for order starting Monday, December 22.
Flipkart's announcement was cryptic and did not reveal the price of the 32GB variant. The 16GB version of the Moto X (Gen 2) smartphone has been available in India since September and retails for Rs 31,999. If customers choose the bamboo or leather finish there is an additional Rs. 2,000. The 32GB Moto X (Gen 2) smartphone is listed on Flipkart's official site in royal blue and black variants, suggesting the additional custom options may not be available on the higher-end model.
As for the smartphone's specs, the 32GB model will not be any different than the 16GB variant. Here's a quick look at the key specifications of the Moto X (Gen 2) smartphone.
- Display: 5.2 inches
- Resolution: 1080p Full HD
- Processor: 2.5 GHz quad-core Core Snapdragon 801
- RAM: 2GB
- Camera: 13-megapixel rear-facing camera with dual LED ring flash, 2MP front snapper

The 32GB variant will be a good addition to Motorola's smartphone lineup as the Moto X (Gen 2) lacks an upgradable memory slot. So users who wish to store more data like videos, images and files, can go in for the new version when available.
More details on the pricing and shipping will be released on Monday. We are expecting the price range to be somewhere close to Rs. 34,000.
