It's been almost two months since the Galaxy S5 Mini was unveiled. Now the compact Samsung phone is all set to make an appearance in the Indian market.
Popular e-commerce firm, Flipkart has shown-off the Galaxy S5 Mini on its official Facebook page to confirm that the Samsung phone will be exclusively sold on its site. Details regarding the actual release date and price of the device are still under wraps, but it is certain to be announced soon.
After seeing the success of Motorola (Moto E, G, X) and Xiaomi (Mi3), Samsung seems to have decided to go for online channel (Flipkart) to exclusively sell its devices.
Coming back to the handset, Galaxy S5 Mini is the compact version of Samsung's flagship smartphone. It sports the same design language seen on the bigger sibling sans the size. It also flaunts the soft perforated faux-leather shell to provide better grip for users.
It boasts of value-added features such as - IP67 dust-and-water resistant certifications, finger-print sensor, IR Remote, Ultra Power Saving Mode and heart-rate sensor technology.
Galaxy S5 Mini flaunts a 4.5-inch HD (720x1280p) super AMOLED screen and comes packed with 1.4GHz quad-core processor, 1.5GB RAM, 16GB (expandable up to 64GB) and a 2,100 mAh battery.
Other stipulated specifications include 8.0-megapixel camera (auto-focus & LED flash), 2.1-megapixel camera (with full HD video recording ability) and on connectivity front, it supports 3G network, dual-SIM slots, Bluetooth v4.0, Wi-Fi (802.11 a/b/g/n), USB v2.0 and A-GPS+GLONASS for navigation.

Once released, Galaxy S5 Mini will be up against the popular Xiaomi Mi3, Motorola Moto X, Oppo N1 Mini, Gionee Elife 7 Mini, Google Nexus 5 and others.
