Ever found yourself deep in thought not reflecting upon life but trying to figure out what your favourite show will be all about in its next season? My guesses are a 100 per cent yes (if you are an avid TV show lover that is).
The DC superheroes are set to take on new challenges, but what waits for them in the coming season? Obviously, a new set of villains, colleagues, pieces of technology, and plot twists.
Having been around for half a decade, in some cases, even more, has its perks; these shows have scores of passionate fans who come up with theories and predictions, most of which are later confirmed by the makers. Fascinating isn't it?
Some such theories have come up on Reddit, which claim that there are going to be deaths in The Flash. Sure that's heartbreaking, but the good news is it's just a speculation at the moment.
Theories galore
Season 4 ended with a mysterious girl dropping off a package for the baby Joe West and Cecile Horton had just had. It's been confirmed that the "mystery girl" is, in fact, Nora Allen – Barry Allen and Iris West's daughter – from the future.
What's interesting is, the trailer of The Flash Season 5 shows how Nora appearing in the present was a big mistake. Fans on Reddit have predicted that there's a chance that her saving Barry from getting hit by the gigantic satellite has to do with the fact that Barry was meant to die during that incident. Nora knew all about it as she was from the future and also the fact that her intervening would alter the timeline. But, she couldn't watch her father die, could she? This also means, Iris is pregnant but isn't showing any signs of it yet.
User CashWho wrote: "I'm assuming Barry is dead in the future and died sometime close to her birth or early in her childhood. So she remembers her mom as the person who disciplined her, while Barry is her idealized super hero father who died tragically and left no bad memories."
In addition, some have shared the idea that it was time for Joe to go. But, no one's sure how the makers are going to throw in that twist. Killing off West isn't new. Before the Invasion! aired, there was considerable chatter that the CCPD detective will lose his life in the fight, but nothing of that sort happened.
Name of the nemesis?
The Flash will be seen fighting Cicada, a meta-human who is immortal. His superpower is he can suck the life force out of people using just the two lighting blades he wields. According to the comic books, he is shown to form a cult following, which helps him in the journey to resurrect his wife.
The Flash Season 5 returns on October 9.
