The mid-season finale of "The Flash" Season 2 is arguably the best episode yet on The CW show, barring the Season 1 finale. With two spectacular villains the Trickster (Mark Hamill) and Weather Wizard (Liam McIntyre) joining forces to take down Barry (Grant Gustin), and more importantly Captain Cold (Wentworth Miller) redeeming himself ahead of the "Legends of Tomorrow" premiere, it was definitely an episode for "The Flash" hall of fame.
"Running to Stand Still" also marked the debut of the Kid Flash aka Wally West (Keiynan Lonsdale), who will also be a part of the "Legends" squad. Sprucing up his origin story a little, "The Flash" features him as Iris' (Candice Patton) brother who grew up with her estranged mother Francine (Vanessa A. Williams) without any knowledge of the rest of his family.
In Season 2, Francis tried to return to Joe (Jesse L Martin) and Iris' life, saying she only has a few days to live and wished to connect them with Wally. Although Iris was against the idea of telling her father that he has a son that grew up without knowing him, she reveals why Francine actually wanted to reconnect with them, and in the finale, Wally joined them for the Christmas celebrations at the West household.

This moment marks a joyous occasion in the lives of Barry and his friends, but Zoom is still sending meta-humans from Earth 2, and now having threatened the life of Jesse (Violett Beane), he has ensured that Wells (Tom Cavanaugh) too works for him. Wells has been tasked with improving Barry's speed so that Zoom can steal it when he wants it.
One of the meta-humans we can hope to see in Season 2B of "The Flash" is Caitlin (Danielle Panabaker) of Earth 2, who is Killer Frost. We are hoping to see her as early as Tuesday, 19 January, when "The Flash" Season 2 Episode 10 titled "Potential Energy" premieres.
In the Season 1 finale, when Barry was running fast enough to travel back in time, we had seen a glimpse of Caitlin's super-villain avatar. Now, thanks to the photos leaked from the sets of "The Flash", we can get a better look of Killer Frost here:
