Aditya Roy Kapur and Katrina Kaif starrer "Fitoor" might have had a low weekend in India, but the film opened well at the overseas box office. The opening weekend overseas and domestic box office collection of the film stands at Rs 24.35 crore.
"Fitoor" witnessed a good jump in its collection at the box office, but the overall domestic business remained low. The opening weekend domestic box office collection of "Fitoor" is just Rs 14.11 crore.
After having a slow start, the business of the Abhishek Kapoor's directorial film went up on its second and third day in India. "Fitoor" performed well Sunday due to Valentine's Day, but the poor opening day box office collection affected the opening weekend earnings. Despite starring big stars like Tabu, Katrina and Aditya, the film performed the lowest this week in India.
However, the overseas box office collection helped the film to put up a good opening weekend income. "Fitoor" earned $1.5 million (Rs 10.24 crore) from the overseas box office, which took its worldwide income to Rs 24.35 crore.

After an average opening weekend, all eyes are now set on "Fitoor" weekdays box office collection. The film will have to remain strong at the box office to earn its production cost.
"Fitoor" is an adaptation of Charles Dickens' classic novel "Great Expectations". The film was released in 1,400 screens in India Friday and approximately 400 screens internationally. Starring Aditya, Katrina and Tabu, the film also features Ajay Devgn in an intense role.
