The makers of Katrina Kaif and Aditya Roy Kapur starrer "Fitoor" released the much-awaited trailer of the film on Monday. Apart from Katrina and Aditya's phenomenal love story, Tabu stole hearts with her mysterious character of Begum.
A recent buzz suggests that Ajay Devgn is also in a cameo role in the film. While Tabu is playing Katrina's mother, Ajay is the godfather of Aditya in the flick. Ajay has rarely done special appearances, but this time the actor will be a part in his "Drishyam" co-star's film.
"Ajay plays Aditya's godfather. In the film, Aditya plays a painter and Ajay comes at a juncture where Adi needs him. He is more like a godfather to Adi who buys all his paintings and makes him famous," DNA quoted a source as saying.
The "Shivaay" actor will be playing that part which was played by Robert De Niro in the 1998 Hollywood version of this flick. Though Ajay has a screen time of just a few minutes, his character is quite important.
"Fitoor" is a love story that will be released on 12 February. The first look poster carries a tagline that reads: "Yeh Ishq Nahin Aasaan" (love is not easy). The trailer gives a glimpse of the story line and the characters. However, Ajay does not appear in the trailer.
Directed by Abhishek Kapoor, "Fitoor" is the Indian adaptation of Charles Dickens' "Great Expectations". Tabu's character as Begum is the Indian version of Miss Havisham, while Aditya will be seen as a Kashmiri lad, Noor, and Katrina as his ladylove Firdaus.
