Despite dedicated brands such as Tesla, Rimac and Venturi, electric vehicles are still not a major segment around the world similar to the forced induction vehicles. While infrastructure issues are cited as major hurdle for a shift from petrol and diesel cars to EVs, there are two other major problems as well from the customers' point of view.

First, it requires certain duration to reach charge. Second, most of the vehicle has limited range in full charge. Meet Fisker EMotion, a new all-electric luxury saloon that addresses both above-mentioned problems.
California-based Fisker Inc. is an American electric vehicle just like Tesla Inc. The founder of the company, Henrik Fisker, who is the designer of models including Aston Martin DB9 and BMW Z8, recently released the first image of EMotion and some of its class-leading highlights.
EMotion comes with split headlights and a small chrome-covered grille, as well as a four-door body and coupe-like design. The small boot spoiler along with short rear overhangs and bigger alloy wheels give it a sporty look. EMotion is a clean sheet design from the inside out, utilising carbon fiber and aluminum structure.
But what makes Fisker EMotion apart from other EVs is that it will offer a 643km range. Fiskar also claims that EMotion can add 'over 100 miles' of range in nine minutes using the vehicle's UltraCharger technology. EMotion also has a top speed of 260kmph.
EMotion combines technology into the design of the vehicle. The front end's aluminium centerpiece houses a LIDAR system for autonomous driving. The side mirrors conceal two cameras, which enable panoramic, 360-degree views to the driver.
According to Fisker, the 2019 EMotion will be open for pre-orders starting June 30 and delivery timeline will be announced mid next year. Fisker is expected to unveil EMotion in the flesh on August 17.
