Firstouch A10 Budget Smartphone with Built-in Language Translator Launched in India; Price, Specification Details

MoFirst Solutions Pvt Ltd, a startup technology company founded by three IIT graduates, has launched feature-rich smartphone Firstouch A10 in India, with built-in language translator.

India is touted as the third biggest smartphone market in the world, and is home to more than 20 (government-recognized) regional dialects. And now MoFirst's smartphone - Firstouch - is set breach the language barrier between the vast non-English speaking local population and the colonial language. The company's patented Swipe technology enables users to translate English messages to other languages and vice-versa, just by a flick of a finger.

"Firstouch is the first regional smartphone which brings millions of rural and semi-urban customer a perfect smartphone, made in their language," said Rakesh Deshmukh, CEO, MoFirst Solutions Pvt Ltd.

The new phone has been competitively priced at ₹6,000, enough to reach the masses. The only downside is that the phone currently supports only Gujarati language but the company has promised to make the phone support Hindi and Marathi by June this year, and later to almost all other Indian vernaculars in one year, reported The Economic Times.

Firstouch A10 sports a 4.0-inch WVGA (800x480p) capacitive display and runs on the Android v4.2.2 Jelly OS, powered by the 1.2GHz dual-core CPU, backed by 512MB RAM, 4GB (expandable up to 32GB) and a 1300 mAh battery.

Other stipulated specifications include a 2.0-megapixel (with flash) primary camera, a 0.3-megapixel (VGA) front camera. The budget phone also supports 3G network, dual SIM slots, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and A-GPS for navigation.
