The first song of upcoming Malyalam film "Iyobinte Pusthakam" featuring Fahadh Faasil and Isha Sharwani is released.
The song, which begins with the lines "Raave Mudal Manjil Nee Chayunnu" is rendered by Neha S Nair and Hari Charan. This melodious number is composed by Neha and Yakzan Gary Pereira, while the lyrics are penned by Rafeeq Ahammed.
The song of the Amal Neerad directorial is a visual treat. The cinematography is also done by Amal, who has managed to capture some technically and aesthetically excellent visuals.
The director has gone for minimalistic yet classy frames for the song that set a romantic mood. The right mix of warm and cool textures and colours also make the visuals a worthy one to watch. The choreography of this romantic track is done by actress Gayathri Raghuram, who is the daughter of popular dance master Raghuram.
With the release of the first song and the trailer, Amal had raised the expectations over "Iyobinte Pusthakam", which is scheduled to release in October. The film is produced jointly by Amal and Fahadh and is the actor's first film as a producer.
The story and the script are penned by Gopan Chithambaram and Shyam Pushkaran. The story of "Iyobinte Pusthakam" is set in the British Travancore and reflects the socio-political situation between the period 1910 to 1970s.
The film also has Lal, who will be seen in the title role of Iyob, Fahadh as Iyob's son Aloshy and Isha Sherwani as his love interest Martha.
The film also has Jayasurya playing the role of Angoor Ravuthar, Lena as Kazhali, Jinu Joseph as Ivan, Padmapriya as Rahel, Reenu Mathews as Annamma, Chemban Vinod as Dimithri, Vinayakan as Chemban.
Sreejith Ravi, TG Ravi, Saritha Kukku, Anil Murali, John Vijay and Aashiq Abu will also appear in pivotal roles in the film.
