After confirming the name of the OnePlus 3 series successor and its collaboration with DxOMark Mobile for the camera, the company has released the first OnePlus 5 teaser revealing the colour options that the device may come with.
OnePlus has tweeted graphic image with colours — black, pink-and-blue combination, red and gold— having numericals 1,2,3 and 4 attached to the respective shades for fans to vote.

The revelation comes two months after the company launched two special editions of OnePlus 3T. In March, OnePlus, in collaboration with French boutique Collete, which is known for fashion accessories, launched a special Colette-engraved black edition of the OnePlus 3T (128 GB) in Paris. Later that month, the company tied up with Hypebeast to release another limited edition Midnight Black coloured OnePlus 3T.
It has now almost become a rage among smartphone companies to launch limited edition phones. Even Apple had launched the crimson-based iPhone 7 series.

However, chart leader Samsung is a trend setter, as it has been doing with the marquee phones for several years now. It had also launched the special edition Galaxy S6 edge & S7 edge series that were based on comic heroes Ironman and Batman.
In a related development, OnePlus CEO Carl Pei tweeted a cryptic message over the leaked OnePlus 5 image, showing the missing 'audio jack' at the bottom.
Carl Pei said— "Why did the headphone jack cross the road?," hinting the company might have shifted port from bottom to the top, which the leaked images haven't been able to show so far.
