Director Anurag Basu has finally released the trailer of his much-awaited film "Barfi" on YouTube. Released on Monday, the trailer has elicited a spam of good response from viewers.
The 2-minute 20-second trailer of the romantic comedy that stars Ranbir Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra and Tollywood actress Ileana D'Cruz is has received massive attention, especially towards Ranbir's charming persona on screen.
The trailer, which contains no dialogue, has already been viewed more than 120, 000 times since its release and is expected to be another hit flick after "Rowdy Rathore".
Basu along with the three lead actors first launched the trailer at a special event. Prior to the launch, Basu spoke about his entire experience while shooting the movie.
"I fell in love with the story first and have had a great affair with it. It has been a year and a half. It was a great journey. Yesterday we had our last day of shooting and I can say for all the cast and crew, we will be missing shooting Barfi," Bollywood Spice quoted Basu as saying.
The film revolves around the story of a deaf and dumb character played by Ranbir and an autistic girl played by Priyanka. Ileana, who essays the role of a Bengali girl in the film, narrates the story.
Basu, whose movies mostly deal with dark passion and adultery, has drawn several new aspects from each character in the movie. From what can be seen on the promo, the actors have certainly taken up seriously challenging roles this time.
"Barfi" is shot in three different locations of Kolkata, Darjeeling and Mumbai. The movie is produced by UTV Motion Pictures, and is set to release on Sept. 14 this year.
