The first-look poster of Mammootty's new thriller, "Fireman", has been released.
The upcoming movie is directed by Deepu Karunakaran, who had previously directed films including "Teja Bhai and Family', "Winter" and "Crazy Gopalan".
In the upcoming movie, Mammootty will play the role of Vijay, a fireman who is deeply focused in his service and the challenges and adventures in his career. Sources close to the film says that the lead character played by Mammootty will not have a pair in the movie.
Meanwhile, popular RJ turned actress Nyla Usha will play another lead character, Sherin Thomas, an IPS officer. The actress had earlier revealed her look in the film through her Facebook page. Earlier, it was said that Andrea Jeremiah will play this particular role in the film but the producers later confirmed Nyla's part in the movie.
This is for the third time that Nyla will be a part of a Mammootty movie. The actress had made her debut as the superstar's wife in "Kunjananthante Kada" directed by Salim Ahamed. Her second movie with Mammootty was Aashiq Abu directorial "Gangster", in which she played the character of a bold Muslim girl.
"Fireman" also has Unni Mukundan in a pivotal role. He had previously shared screen space with Mammootty in his latest flick "Rajadhiraja" and in the 2011 movie, "Bombay March 12".
The cinematography of "Fireman" is done by Sunoj Velayudhan and editing by V Saajan. The music is composed by Rahul Raj who also contributed to films like "Chotta Mumbai", "Annan Thambi", "Ritu", "Bachelor Paty", "Kili Poyi", "London Bridge" and "Mannar Mathai Speaking 2".
This upcoming Mammootty starrer is produced by Milan Jaleel under the banner of Galaxy Films.
