The first look poster of Fahadh Faasil starrer "Mariyam Mukku" has been released. The poster shows him wearing a dark green lungi and checked open-buttoned shirt. The poster is set in the background of a sea.
The title in yellow shows a graphical design of a seashore village. The rest of the poster sticks to the sober shade of grey. The poster also has names of people behind the film and says that the movie will hit the screens in January 2015.
The movie's writer and director is James Albert, who had earlier scripted "Classmates", "Cycle", "Evidam Swargamanu", "Venicile Vyaapari", "Jawan of Vellimala" and "Ezhu Sundara Rathrikal."
The upcoming movie is being touted as a romantic comedy, which is set in a village that has historical significance called Mariyam Mukku and follows a peculiar Latin American culture. Faasil will play the role of "Albert," a fisherman. Sana Altaf who played Dulquer's sister in "Vikramadithyan" will play Faasil's love interest Salomi in the movie.
The film also has popular Tamil actor Tyagarajan as Faasil's foster father, Aju Varghese as "Lloyd Casper Anderson" who plays Salomi's brother, Manoj K Jayan as "Mariyanasan" and Joy Mathew essaying the role of Salomi's father Sayip. The rest of the cast includes Prathap Pothan, Nedumudi Venu, Neeraj Madhav, Nandu, Sadiq, Sreejith Ravi, Irshad, Pashanam Shaji, Devi Ajith, Suja, Seema G Nair and Meena Ganehs.
While Gireesh handles cinematography, editing will be done by Ranjan Abrham. The music for the film will be composed by Vidyasagar. Mohandas is the art director of the film. Costumes are by Sameera Saneesh and makeup by Sreejith Guruvayur.
"Mariyam Mukku" is being produced by AK Sabeer under the banner of Sam Big Movies and will be distributed by LJ Films.
