Facebook owned-Instagram, the photo and video-sharing app, has announced a first-of-its-kind Instagram exhibition will be held at ICCR gallery in Kolkata, West Bengal on 7 January.
The exhibition will run with the theme "Celebrating Diversity of Bengal", and will feature photos taken using the popular app.
The Hindu notes that this will be a "community-centric" photo exhibition that will consist of images from West Bengal's festivals and also from the local Instagram community that showcases the state's diversity in landscape, people, food, wildlife, architecture and more.
Instagram has started to widen its base in India, with many Indians taking to the app to post funny Dubsmash videos, which have been a recent fad.
