LeEco will host the first flash sale for its affordable Le 1s in India on 2 February exclusively on Flipkart. Online retailer Flipkart announced on Monday that it is offering Rs 500 Flipkart gift voucher for those who register for the sale before Thursday midnight on purchase of Le 1s.
The standard flash sale rule applies for Le 1s, which requires interested buyers to register in order to participate in the sale. Companies follow this strategy to analyse the demand and bring necessary stock to fulfil the requirement. LeEco Le 1s will be available in limited quantities and shoppers have till noon on 2 February to register and participate in the sale.
LeEco launched Le 1s alongside Le Max on Wednesday at an event in India. LeEco Le 1s is priced at Rs 10,999 and the exclusive partnership with Flipkart allows the handset to get 10 percent cheaper with Axis bank debit and credit cards. With both the discounts applied, Le 1s costs as low as Rs 9,500, which is quite impressive given the premium specifications it offers.
LeEco Le 1s features a 5.5-inch Full HD display with 403ppi and has a full metal body. It is powered by a 2.2GHz octa-core MediaTek Helio X10 processor, 3GB RAM and has 32GB storage. Le 1s sports a 13-megapixel primary camera with PDAF, ultra fast focus, ISOCELL 5P Lens, f/2.0 aperture and LED flash. On the front side of the device, there is a 5MP snapper for selfies.

LeEco runs on a 3,000mAh battery, which can run up to 3.5 hours on talk time with just 5 minutes of charge. To make things interesting, Le 1s comes with world's first mirror-surfaced fingerprint scanner with 0.15 second unlock speed and 99.3% accuracy, and USB Type-C port. The handset runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop based company's homegrown custom eUi.
Le 1s and Le Max are LeEco's first smartphones in India. The budget offering is likely to threaten the competition in the Indian market. LeEco challenges companies like Lenovo, Meizu, Xiaomi, Motorola, Micromax and other budget-smartphone makers that have established an order in the market. LeEco Le 1s' rivals are Lenovo K4 Note, Meizu M2 Note, Coolpad Note 3 to name a few.
