Katrina Kaif, who will soon be seen in Anurag Basu's "Jagga Jasoos", recently fired her make-up artist Subhash Singh, after he failed to report for her shoot on time.
It turned out to be a blessing in disguise.
Out of work, Singh, who had been doing the actress' make-up since "Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya" (2005), decided to change his profession.
According to a report in Hindustan Times, Singh will now produce a film, which will be directed by Marathi film-maker, Jayant Gilatar.
"I decided to become a producer as I wanted to change my profession. The film will go on the floors in mid-March," the newly-turned producer told the daily.
He has already roped in popular celebs such as Anupam Kher, Juhi Chawla, Shabana Azmi and Divya Dutta for his film.
Further, Singh revealed that he is also in talks with a 'star' to play a special role in his film. When asked if the 'star' is Kaif's rumoured boyfriend Ranbir Kapoor, the producer said the "Barfi" actor will not deny the role, if approached.
"If I need to, I will approach Ranbir for the role and I'm sure he will do it." he said.
The lovebirds, Kapoor and Kaif, who moved into their new flat in Bandra last year, have been going strong in their love life and are often seen spending quality time together.
Now, if Kapoor agrees to work with the make-up artist turned producer, one can't help but wonder if Kaif will be happy with the association.
"Jagga Jasoos" is a detective drama, which revolves around father-son relationship. The film has the "Bombay Velvet" actor play a detective who is in search of his missing father, played by Govinda while, Kaif plays Kapoor's love interest in the film.
