At least fourteen people are feared death and 50 others injured after a major fire broke out during a congregation of eunuch at a community centre in East Delhi on Sunday.
The incident happened at around 6.30 pm at a community hall in Nand Nagri area where many people have gathered for a three-day congregation of eunuchs. The injured were rushed to nearby hospitals for treatment. Government officials fear the casualties of the fire could go up.
The police suspected that the fire must have started from the kitchen of the community centre but the actual cause is not yet know. The fire is said to be under control after several fire tenders were put service.

Police said the fire first began in the kitchen of the community centre and thereafter spread to other parts of the hall.
Government officials said ten bodies have been recovered so far and at least 33 have been injured in the incident. They feared the casualties could go up.
