It's been more than two years since Kpop band 2NE1 released their last album. And fans have waited to see band members Sandara Park, CL, Park Bom and Minzy perform again.
Perhaps Papa YG has listened to their prayers. In a recent announcement, YG Entertainment revealed that 2NE1 would make their comeback with a new album on November 21.
This news comes after YG released a poster asking: "Who Next? November 21, 9pm." Fans on YG Family's Facebook page wondered if it might be WINNER or 2NE1 making it's comeback.
Admittedly, this year has been busy for the Korean entertainment agency. Many of its bands, including BIGBANG, made a comeback in 2015.
Allkpop's recent article argued that there have been a number clues that pointed to 2NE1's comeback. The publication said CL's American debut has been delayed and music producers Ted and Kush, who are very close to the band members, just opened a new label under YG and rumours suggest 2NE1 might release their new album under that label.
Furthermore, the band's contract with YG Entertainment is due to expire in 2016, and Yang Hyun Suk would know whether to renew their contract judging by their latest album.
While 2NE1, which has put out hits like "I am the best", is sure to release their new album in the next few week, it is unclear if the band members would put out a digital single, an EP, or a studio album, according to Soompi.
