Salman Khan and Anushka Sharma are in Budapest shooting for the last leg of "Sultan." Word has it that the location has something to do with the superstar's past.
The climax scene of "Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam" was shot on the city's Szechenyi Chain Bridge, and the latest on-set photo of Salman is from around the area where the suspension bridge stands. The actor is in the Hungarian capital to shoot a song for his next, BollywoodLife reported.
The scene from the Sanjay Leela Bhansali directorial showed a frantic Aishwarya Rai Bachchan running into Ajay Devgn's arms, leaving Salman teary-eyed and heartbroken. All this happened roughly 17 years ago.
"Sultan" is a sports-drama film that follows the story of Sultan Ali Khan (Salman) and his battles both inside and outside the ring. The 50-year-old has trained with professionals to master a wrestler's body language and grappling. Salman had to work on his mixed martial arts skills and was under a strict diet regimen to achieve a certain kind of look.
Around the time he had begun working out for the film, he had said the rigorous sessions were leaving him in tremendous pain. "In 'Sultan', I am a wrestler who goes into MMA (Mixed Martial Arts). It's a different league of fitness. I have been training for the past five days and my head, back and knee are hurting. Everything is hurting, actually," he had told the Indian Express.
"Sultan" opens in theatres on Eid and is directed by Ali Abbas Zafar.
