Two days after it was announced that Jamie Dornan has bagged the role of Christian Grey in the film adaptation of "Fifty Shades of Grey", author E.L. James confirmed the news through Twitter.
Earlier this week, it was announced that Jamie Dornan has replaced Charlie Hunnam to play Christian Grey in "Fifty Shades of Grey." However, author E.L. James, writer of the kinky novel failed to comment on the same. Her latest tweet reveals why.
James took to her twitter account today confirming news of Dornan bagging the role and saying that she wasn't able to use the microblogging site for the past two days and hence wasn't able to confirm the news earlier.
Stow your twitchy palms ladies... our man is here. Welcome to #TeamFifty @JamieDornan1 x

Up until now Dornan was known only as the hot Calvin Klein model that starred in "Once upon A Time." Now the Irish actor is known as the handsome hunk who replaced Hunnam to play Christian Grey. Dornan's followers have swelled to more than 95,000 on Twitter - adding above 2,000 new followers in a matter of hours on Thursday. So what do fans have to say? While some fans were still hopping for either Matt Bomer or Ian Somerhalder to take on the role, others have accepted Dornan as the kinky troubled billionaire. Lena Dunham, a celebrity follower of the Irish actor took to her twitter account to reveal what a big fan she is of his.
I'm a monstrous @JamieDornan1 fan. Wasn't allowed to be attracted to him on The Fall bc he played a sexmurderer. 50 Shades is my big chance! — Lena Dunham (@lenadunham) October 24, 2013
She was not the only one. Many other Dornan followers tweeted about why they thought their favourite star was worthy of the role. Many websites have already published "need to know" articles about the "Marie Antoinette" actor, listing stats about his past work and high-profile romances, which includes a two-year relationship with Oscar-nominated actress Keira Knightley.
