"Fifty Shades of Grey's" director Sam Taylor-Johnson recently revealed that the sex scenes between Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson were "choreographed". The director also said that it was an uncomfortable environment and both the actors had to be prepared in advance before enacting a scene in front of the camera.
"[The sex scenes] were very choreographed. It had to be choreographed because I didn't want to make them go through it [countless times]," she admitted. " You have to base it on trust. You have to build that trust to get there." reported Eonline.
Sam also revealed that Jamie and Dakota share a good chemistry and it is visible in the romantic scenes. The two actors have also tried to incorporate humour in their scenes.
"The chemistry was funny because the two of them liked to out-funny each other. So there's this competition about who's the funniest. When I saw that humor, I thought we have to build this into the movie. A lot of it came naturally...It just felt like it was right to take that journey into much darker places," she said.
"Fifty Shades of Grey" charts the journey of a business magnate Christian Grey and plain Jane Anastasia Steele. They both indulge in a steamy affair. Things take a new turn when Grey introduces Steele to his secret side. The film features a slew of BDSM elements including dominance and submission.
The film is scheduled to release on 13 February. It has also been reported that Sam will be directing the sequel of "Fifty Shades of Grey" as well. The two new instalments in the series will be based on EL James' books, "Fifty Shades of Darker" and "Fifty Shades of Freed".
