FIFA 16 is not far away. The EA Sports' video game will be a considerable upgrade over FIFA 15, and will introduce a host of new interesting features, apart from an updated roster of players that will keep fans glued to their seats long after the final whistle is gone.
Talking of updated rosters, each team in the game will see a host of fresh faces come in, while some old ones will surely depart for other clubs. Similar will be the deal with the Manchester United team who have already made a couple of intense signings in the form of Bastian Schweinsteiger and Morgan Schneiderlin.
After back-to-back seasons but without any major trophy in the bag, the Old Trafford faithful will be raring to go in the new season to take on the likes of Manchester City, Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool.
But how will the players be rated in the new FIFA title? Let's take a look.
FIFA 16 – Manchester United Player Ratings Predicted
Andy Kellett – Defender – Predicted Rating: 59 – Kellett is one of those bright kids coming through United's youth ranks. Though he signed only to play for the club's U-21 team, he is now looking to make it big time.
Ashley Young – Winger/Attacking Midfielder – Predicted Rating: 81 – Young offers excellent pace and shooting abilities to United roster, but did not have the greatest season of his life last year. Expect the Englishman to be a major part of United when the new season starts.
Rafael – Right Back – Predicted Rating: 75 – The Brazilian has had a nasty time battling injuries for a large part of last season, and has fallen out of favour, with Antonio Valencia minding the position and United in the market for a new right back. Could easily leave United before the start of the new season.
Jesse Lingard – Attacking Midfielder – Predicted Rating: 68 – Lingard is probably in line for yet another loan spell away from OT, after spending the final months of 2014/15 playing in the Championship with Derby. While an earlier injury played spoilsport to his development at United, the player will be back with bigger goals.
Reece James – Defender – Predicted Rating: 57 – The first glimpse of the Englishman in action came when James played in the 4-0 drubbing by MK Dons, aside another 90 minutes in the FA Cup. Although the player featured in United's pre-season plans, he might be loaned out again to further his development.
Daley Blind – Left Back/Defensive Midfielder – Predicted Rating: 82 – Son of former Ajax defender Danny Blind, Daley proved to be quite the effective signing for United last season, although the pundits are still divided on his best position on the field. However, he's skilled and reliable and will feature heavily in LVG's plans next term.
Andreas Pereira – Midfielder – Predicted Rating: 71 – Quite highly rated by United, the Brazilian midfielder left a significant mark in United's youth teams. Expect the youngster to boom into the scene as soon as the new season kicks off.
Javier Hernandez – Striker – Predicted Rating: 80 – Chicharito is going through a sort of nightmare with neither United nor Real Madrid wanting the Mexican in their ranks. That being said, Hernandez still remains a proven poacher, but expect him to shift clubs sooner rather than later.
Tyler Blackett – Defender – Predicted Rating: 67 – Blackett may be waiting to leave a significant mark on United's first team, but promising glimpses of him last season means this one is a long term prospect for the Red Devils.
Antonio Valencia – Right Back/Right Winger – Predicted Rating: 78 – Valencia might start the season in his preferred right back position rather than the enforced right midfield position that United wants. It's interesting to see how he fits in, since there are already so many players in the RB position.
Anders Lindegaard – GK – Predicted Rating: 76 – Named 2010 Goalkeeper of the Year in both Denmark and Norway, there is big chance that Lindegaard might leave United before the start of the new season for more regular game time. LVG may look to cash in on the Dane while there's still time.
Victor Valdes – GK – Predicted Rating: 80 – Arriving with a boatload of experience from Barcelona, the Spaniard still remains one of the elite goalkeepers in the business. There's still some doubt over his United career though, with David de Gea looking to leave and United looking for a new gloveman.
James Wilson – Striker – Predicted Rating: 70 – One of the youngest strikers in United's ranks, big things are expected from Wilson once the season kicks off. United fans will keep their fingers crossed in hopes of Wilson making most of his chances in the pre-season.
Jonny Evans – Defender – Predicted Rating: 78 – The Englishman had a terrible last season and has been prone to mistakes. Evans isn't really a fan favourite and has lost the confidence of his manager. He could leave United to seek pastures new.
Adnan Januzaj – Attacking Midfielder – Predicted Rating: 75 – When Januzaj arrived at United under then manager David Moyes, he was already booming, and followed it up with an equally explosive 2013/14 season. However, it seemed like the Belgian fell out of favour as soon as Louis Van Gaal took over at Old Trafford. There are chances that he might be loaned out for the season, with Everton emerging as a possible destination.
Paddy MacNair – Centre Back – Predicted Rating: 70 – MacNair will have added heavily to his previous FIFA 15 rating, after the Northern Irishman's promising debut season in the first team, especially against Everton and Chelsea. The 20-year old is looking ahead to more first team opportunities as soon as the new season kicks off.
Luke Shaw – Left Back – Predicted Rating: 78 – Shaw was signed by Manchester United for £30 million, a world record transfer fee for a teenager, which was previously held by Wayne Rooney, when he transferred to Manchester United 10 years earlier. He sort of justified his price tag with some good form in performance in the last part of the season, and still settling down at OT.
Marcos Rojo – Defender – Predicted Rating: 80 – Featured as the only Argentine included in the Castrol Performance Index Team of the Tournament (World Cup 2014), Rojo enjoyed a steady debut season at United. Expect Rojo to be involved in LVG's plans for the year.
Marouane Fellaini – Midfielder – Predicted Rating: 82 – First brought into United with then manager David Moyes, the towering Belgian has proven a number of critics wrong by performing in the second half of last season. He's strong, fearless and will be involved in LVG's plans this term.
Memphis Depay – Winger – Predicted Rating: 82 – Memphis Depay was already a special player even before United decided to sign the Dutch youngster. Depay was named the Dutch Eredivisie's top scorer from last season, and is sure to give defenders nightmare this season.
Phil Jones – Defender – Predicted Rating: 78 – Although not your conventional defender types, none can disagree that Jones can be quite an effective player to the squad. He's has a mixed bag of a season and will look to impress in the pre-season.
David De Gea – GK – Predicted Rating: 87 – We are not sure if de Gea will still remain a United player next term, and chances are that he will sign an extension with Real Madrid. United fans will miss him, but he will still remain one of the best in the world.
Juan Mata – Midfielder – Predicted Rating: 84 – Although the Spaniard was kept out of the team at the start of last season, Mata bounced back to life when he was called into action for United. He shows great quality and skill on the ball and is one of United's important players.
Chris Smalling – Defender – Predicted Rating: 80 – Smalling impressed LVG and the OT faithful in the second half of last season, and finally looking to establish his name as a regular first team starter. He's quick and strong and gives United the edge, going against stubborn teams such as Stoke or Everton.
Michael Carrick – Central Midfielder – Predicted Rating: 81 – Carrick is one of United's integral players, although he's already 33. According to Sir Alex, Carrick is the "the best English player in the game" and could have an equally important season this year.
Ander Herrera – Central Midfielder – Predicted Rating: 83 – Rightfully tagged as one of United's best signings last year, the young Spaniard will be eager to prove to the world that he's the next Paul Scholes. While he still has some way to go before he can be the new Scholes, he ability to pick a pass and get stuck in is admirable.
Angel Di Maria – Attacking Midfielder – Predicted Rating: 85 – Changes aren't always easy, and more so for this Argentinean. Di Maria was British football's most expensive player in his debut season, but couldn't really justify it. He still has blistering pace and a knack to pick up odd goals, and should be back in full form.
Wayne Rooney – Forward – Predicted Rating: 88 – Briefly becoming the youngest goalscorer in the history of the European Championship, Wazza is probably the most important player United has in its ranks. An automatic nomination for legends in the game, Rooney should be re-instated as a forward (rather than midfield) once the new season starts.
