Fiat India launched Avventura Urban Cross for a starting price of Rs 6.85 lakh, ex-showroom Delhi. The middle variant has been priced at Rs 7.45 lakh while the top end Abarth petrol powered model costs Rs 9.85 lakh. The company has already commenced booking for the new derivative of Punto Evo, while deliveries of the new model will begin from 1 October.
The Urban Cross first featured as a concept at the Auto Expo 2016. In transition from concept to production spec, the Urban Cross losses LED DRLs, chrome touched grille and 17-inch alloys have been replaced with 16-inch units. The top end Abarth powered model gets the Scorpion alloy wheels. The crossover comes with side mouldings and roof rails. The new model measures 3,989mm in length, 1,706mm in width and 1,542mm in height. It also comes with 205mm ground clearance.
Inside the cabin, Urban Cross features 5-inch touchscreen display with audio navigation. The dashboard and seats gets dual-tone treatment. For a limited period the Urban Cross will be offered with Premium Burgundy Designer Interiors with colour coordinated door inserts, piano finish door armrests and designer seats with badging. This Designer Interior package will be available as an option only in the Dynamic diesel and the Emotion petrol powered by Abarth variants.
The Urban Cross in diesel engine is available in two trims – Active and Dynamic – both powered by the 1.3-litre Multijet mill that is tuned to develop 92bhp mated to five-speed manual transmission. The top-of-the-line Emotion trim (powered by Abarth) comes with a 1.4-litre T-Jet petrol engine tuned belt out 138bhp coupled with five-speed manual transmission.
