Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) India has updated the diesel variants of the Punto Evo hatchback and Avventura crossover. Both the vehicles are now available with a more powerful 92bhp 1.3litre Multijet diesel engine across the existing variants – Active, Dynamic and Emotion. The engine develops 209Nm of torque at 2,000rpm.
Punto Evo and the Avventura, with the engine delivering power of 92bhp, have been christened PowerTech. The former has been priced between Rs. 6.81 lakh and Rs. 7.92 lakh, while Avventura, with the same power, is priced at Rs. 7.87 lakh to Rs. 9.28 lakh, all prices ex-showroom Delhi.
The Punto Evo PowerTech and Avventura PowerTech, across all trims, will also be offered with a touchscreen infotainment system with navigation. "Fiat cars are known for their performance and by adding more horsepower to our model range we are only living up to our brand promise — Crafted for Car Lovers," said Kevin Flynn, President and Managing Director of FCA India.
The 1.2-litre and 1.4-litre FIRE petrol engine, which is available in both the models, will continue to be sold. Fiat India has been experiencing low sales for its models in the past couple of months. The latest updates are expected to improve sales.
