Fiat India has increased its high performance Abarth range to three with the launch of Abarth Punto and Abarth Avventura, both priced at Rs 9.95 lakh, ex-showroom Delhi.
Both the high performance cars share the 1.4-litre T-JET turbocharged petrol engine. The engine develops 145bhp and 200Nm of torque mated to five speed manual transmission in Abarth Punto. The hot hatch runs from 0 to 100kmph in 8.8 seconds and comes with impressive fuel efficiency of 16.3kmpl. As expected, the ride's height has been lowered in Abarth Punto by 20mm making it proper hot hatch.
The same engine in Abarth Avventura makes 140bhp of power and 212Nm of torque mated to five-speed manual transmission. The Abarth Avventura needs 9.9 seconds to reach from stand still to 100kmph. The powerful crossover returnns a fuel efficiency of 16.3kmpl.
The visual updates in Abarth Punto are contrasting ORVM, 'T-Jet' badge on the bootlid and sporty body decals at the bottom of both sides and on the bonnet. The Scorpion logo exclusive for Abarth high performance models also adorn both the new cars. The 16-inch Scorpion alloy wheels in 'Y' shape adds sportiness on the outside.
The interior is spruced up with fabric upholstery with contrast stitching in red and yellow and sportier steel pedals. The car also boasts of safety features such as dual front airbags and ABS with EBD.
Fiat Abarth Punto will be available in Hip-hop black and Pearl White colour options while the Abarth Avventura will come in Pearl White and Exotica Red with 'Powered by Abarth' badges at the rear doors of the car.
