It is raining discounts in Indian auto market as the car makers are trying to push the sales during this festive season. Earlier yesterday we reported that French auto-maker Renault has slashed the price of its popular SUV Duster in the country and now the latest to warm the cockles of auto lovers' heart is Nissan India.
Nissan has announced a discount of upto ₹38,000 on purchase of its new Datsun Go hatchback in India. The offer includes an exchange benefit of up to ₹20,000, insurance worth ₹4,000 and free extended warranty of ₹4,000. In addition to this, there is also an additional discount of ₹10,000 on D, D1 and A variants of the Go hatchback and the latest offers will be available till 31 October.

Originally priced at ₹3.12 lakh, Datsun Go hatchback, which competes with the Maruti Alto, Ford Figo, Maruti Wagon R, Hyundai Santro and Hyundai i10 in the subcontinent market, comes with a 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder petrol engine.
The engine is tested to churn out a power of 68bhp and a peak torque of 110nm. The car houses features like digital tachometer, follow-me-home headlamps, speed-sensitive wipers, silver-finish front radiator grille and engine immobiliser.
The engine can accelerate 0-100 km/h in 13.3 seconds and the vehicle measures 3,785mm in length, 1,635mm in width, 1,485mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,450mm. The Datsun Go claims to deliver a fuel efficiency of 20.6kmpl.
