The synopsis of the episode, as stated by TV.com, reads:

"Alicia works to reunite with her family; and Travis meets a familiar face. Meanwhile, Madison and Nick lead a charge to save their family against all odds."

It seems Travis will witness someone from his past whom he had not expected to meet anytime soon. However, whether this person will be friendly will be revealed only in the next episode.

According to Christian Times, new-age pirates, under the leadership of Connor (Marl Kelly), will continue pursuing Alicia and Travis as they have their eyes on the duo's supply and weaponry.

The promo of "Captive" hints at Alicia's further errands as she will try to find a way out with the assistance of Jack (Daniel Zovatto). Alicia met Jack over the radio and developed a crush on him.

In the message Jack relayed to Alicia, he told her to help Connor's crew as she had no other option. However, as he has met her now, he might join her cause and fight Connor's forces together.

Several reports have said Alicia might change her decision due to her feelings for Jack, and might convince him to help her with the escape. However, before Alicia can find whereabouts of Jack, she must have to overcome several dangerous hurdles first.

In the promo, Alicia is also seen clashing with Vida (Veronica Diaz-Carranza), and fans will witness a never-before-seen side of her in the upcoming episode.

Elsewhere, Madison (Tim Dickens) and Nick (Frank Dillane) will prepare themselves to attack Connor's group and take him down. In the promo, Frank can be seen installing a gun, something which he is very reluctant to do otherwise.
