Kerala Blasters have a tough job ahead of them as they will have to face FC Pune City in match no. 22 of the Indian Super League (ISL) 2015 at the Balewadi Stadium in Pune on Tuesday.
Peter Taylor would want his men in yellow to be at their sublime best in order to register a win against FC Pune City. On the other hand, FC Pune City will need a strong defense in order to stop the Blasters' attacks. One can expect yet another thrilling encounter when these two sides will lock horns on Tuesday in ISL 2015.
Let us take a look at some of the key players who can make a difference in Tuesday's encounter:
FC Pune City -- Tuncay Sanli: The Turkish international always lurks in and around the penalty box area seeking chances to convert. He is extremely handy when it comes to winning the air duel for the ball. Blasters cannot allow Tuncay to slip through their defensive wall and if he does, he has the capability of converting chances into goals.
Jackichand Singh: His goal against the reigning champions Atletico de Kolkata earned them a crucial victory and ever since then he has been in good shape. He easily runs down the wings even if there is very little space. Creating chances from the wings is his area of speciality and Taylor will have to ask his defenders to be on their feet to stop this threat.
Eugeneson Lyngdoh: Platt has always rated Lyngdoh very highly and thus he is one of the players to watch out for against Kerala Blasters. He too is a clever player when it comes to positioning himself in dangerous areas. Although, he has not scored any goals in ISL 2015, his through balls have been very effective.
Kerala Blasters -- Mohammed Rafi: One of the most effective players Kerala Blaster have had this season of the ISL. He has already scored two goals for his side and is hungry for more. Taylor is aware of Rafi's class and he will be looking to deploy him right from the start against FC Pune City.
Sandesh Jhinghan: He was a revelation in the first season of the ISL for the Blasters. He was rock solid in defense and denied several chances from their opponents. He has not been at his best in ISL 2015, but the coach is hopeful that he will step up in the right time as the season is almost nearing its halfway period.
Peter Ramage: Captain fantastic as one may refer him to be. He has donned a crucial role in this Kerala Blasters side. Being a defender, he also has an assist to his name. He has made 53 successful clearances, which is more than any player in ISL 2015. Kerala Blasters fans would expect Ramage to lead from the front yet again and bring their campaign back on track against FC Pune City. A nail-biting game is up for grabs on Tuesday when these two sides will clash.
