Actor Vin Diesel paid a touching tribute to his "Fast and Furious" co-star Paul Walker over the weekend by sharing online a picture of Walker smiling down on him and daughter Pauline.
Diesel captioned the photograph, which shows him lifting Pauline in the air, "Always..." Pauline is the youngest of Diesel's three children and she is named after Walker, who tragically died in a car accident in 2013.
Diesel, during an appearance on "The Jonathan Ross" show last year, revealed that Walker gave him one of the best advises on welcoming a newborn, and this prompted him to name his daughter after Walker. "I can remember just like yesterday he said that to me, 'A lot of tough guys will tell you to wait in the hallway, don't go in the delivery room. But Vin, go into that delivery room, be present and cut that umbilical cord and it will be the best day of your life,'" Diesel said, according to the Daily Mail.
"And so I did that and it was the best day of my life and so six months ago when I was blessed to be in that same situation, I couldn't help but to remember Paul and his advice. As I'm cutting the umbilical cord, I'm thinking to myself it's all because Paul Walker told me to go into the delivery room and so once it came time to sign the name, I started writing 'Paul' and then just added I-N-E."
Diesel is currently filming the eight instalment in the "Fast and Furious" franchise, which is the first of a new trilogy that will eventually put an end to the "Fast and Furious" series. The next instalment of the car racing film is titled "Fast 8" and it will release on April 14, 2017. "Fast and Furious 9" will follow it on April 19, 2019 and the last film in the trilogy will come out on April 2, 2021.
"Fast 8" will have Charlize Theron as the new big bad and her character is named Cipher.
