"Fast & Furious 8", the most-anticipated instalment in the franchise, is buzzing with cast rumours and plot speculations. The latest clue comes from Vin Diesel's Instagram post, which points at a possibility of Justin Lin directing the "Fast & Furious 7" sequel.
Vin Diesel's recent picture, which shows him sharing a light moment with Lin, on his social media account, has sparked major speculations about the actor/ producer of the blockbuster having confirmed director Justin Lin to take the director's seat for "Fast & Furious 8".
Justin Lin has directed four of the seven movies in the series. And IBT India had reported earlier that he may take over the final instalment. As we all know, James Wan had inherited the reins of this popular Universal Pictures franchise when Lin vacated the director's chair after having called the shots for third, fourth, fifth, and sixth "Fast & Furious" films.
James Wan, after completing Furious 7, was unsure about his future involvement in the "Fast & Furious' franchise. Better known as the horror film maestro, Wan went back to starting work on "The Conjuring 2".
And when fans started speculating about the future of the series, many put high stakes on Justin Lin, to come back to don the director's hat and drop the curtains for that one last ride.
Now it looks like, Vin Diesel's Instagram post has dropped a major hint about Lin's comeback.
"Fast & Furious 8" is the most-talked about installment and fans are pinning high hopes on it. While some of the major cast members have already confirmed their presence in the sequel, there are many new actors who are expected to join the gang.
Vin Diesel (Dominic Toretto), Dwayne Johnson (Luke Hobbs), Jason Statham (Deckard Shaw) and Kurt Russell (Mr Nobody), are expected to be joined by actresses Eva Mendes, Ruby Rose and Helen Mirren.
While Mendes and Rose are said to be part of Hobbs' and Dom's gang, Mirren is suspected to be the new villain to team up with Shaw.
"Fast & Furious 8" will hit theatres on 14 April, 2017.
