In the last one week, we have watched plenty of trailers of some of the much-awaited movies like The Guardian of the Galaxy, Spider-Man: Homecoming and a few more. While the trailer of the next instalment of Fast & Furious will be out on December 13, a teaser video of the film has been unveiled.
The eighth instalment of the Fast & Furious franchise is now officially titled The Fate of the Furious, which was earlier titled Fast 8. The trailer for the film debuts on Sunday, December 13 at 4:40PM PT / 7:40PM ET through a Facebook live event.
The newly released 15-second promo confirmed the new character of Charlize Theron named Cipher. The teaser also shed light on our old favourites Hobbs (Dwayne Johnson), Dom (Vin Diesel) and Letty (Michelle Rodriguez).
The official synopsis reads:
Now that Dom and Letty are on their honeymoon and Brian and Mia have retired from the game—and the rest of the crew has been exonerated—the globetrotting team has found a semblance of a normal life. But when a mysterious woman (Theron) seduces Dom into the world of crime he can't seem to escape and a betrayal of those closest to him, they will face trials that will test them as never before.
The last film in the series titled Furious 7 was a sleeper hit, which managed to make over $1 billion at the worldwide box office. It was late actor Paul Walker's last film.
The much-awaited sequel stars several old faces of the franchise including Vin Diesel, Dwayne Johnson, Jason Statham, Michelle Rodriguez, and Kurt Russell. Alongside, some newbies are introduced in the upcoming action- adventure drama such as Charlize Theron, Helen Mirren, and Scott Eastwood.
Directed by F. Gary Gary, The Fate of the Furious will open in theaters on April 14, 2017.
