The first teaser trailer of Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra's "Bhaag Milkha Bhaag", which stars Farhan Akhtar and Sonam Kapoor, is out.
The first trailer of the movie was shared on the official pages of the film on social networking sites Twitter, Facebook and YouTube on Thursday.
The one-minute, 49-second video features Akhtar sporting long hair and standing in a stadium.
By the trailer's first look, it seems that the film is going to be milestone in Akhtar's film career. Based on Indian athlete Milkha Singh, the title of the movie comes from the last words that were spoken by Singh's father during the riots of India's partition, according to Hindustan Times.
The film is based on the story of Singh who represents India in the 1960 summer Olympics in Rome and the 1964 summer Olympics in Tokyo after losing his family during the partition.
According to reports, the athlete sold the story for just one rupee.
Earlier, A.R.Rahman was supposed to compose the music for the film, but because of his busy schedule music trio Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy was finalised for music direction. The film also features Sourabh Agnihotri and Meesha Shafi in supporting roles.
The movie is scheduled to release next year on July 12.
