Human beings have been fighting to survive since the beginning of time. And we think it's absolutely ingenious that the next Far Cry game, Far Cry Primal, is based upon those early survival instincts.
In case you weren't aware, this is the first time in th history of video game that we have an AAA game that looks to brave the Stone Age. We are no history buffs here, but the time period you can expect is the Mesolithic period between 10,000 BC and 5,000 BC, when humans were fighting all odds to make their mark on the earth.
With the official reveal trailer of the game already out, we are vouching for a few in-game features that, we feel, could really take this Far Cry to the next level. And, here's a list of features that we want to be included in Far Cry Primal.
Far Cry Primal – 5 Intense Features We Are Looking Ahead To
First of all, there are no shotguns or double-barrels in this Far Cry, since it is set in the Stone Age. However, that being said, it doesn't mean the weapons featured in the game won't be equally effective. As of now, all we know is Far Cry Primal will offer intense weapons-crafting mechanism. However, we hope that weapons aren't as overpowered as the modern ones, neither too bland that kills the overall joy.
As of now, we know that Far Cry Primal will have a number of tribes in the game that aren't necessarily friendly. These are basically groups of people who would hunt and gather together within a community and didn't really take kindly to the same from other tribes. However, it will be a welcoming option if you get the decision to choose your favourite tribe and fight for them, while tagging the others as enemies. Maybe you will also get to be a tribe leader at the end of it all?
Since this is the Stone Age, expect the land to be filled with wild animals that will come as a constant threat. That being said, every single Far Cry game of the past has featured animals one way or the other, so it isn't that big a deal that Primal will also feature wild animals. However, for Primal, we want the animals to be a bit more ferocious than usual. After all, it won't be much fun if you are not mauled to death by a sabre tooth after fighting hard.
Which brings us to our fourth point: Can we domesticate a sabre tooth and use it to our advantage when fighting other tribes? Or maybe, even a mammoth?
This game is all about survival, so we expect Ubisoft not to deviate from the survival factor in the course of the game. Make it hard to survive, as it was during those times. Maybe, even make food as a tough thing to find and consume. Overall, don't make it a child's play.
Stay tuned for more updates!
