Ubisoft has released a new video titled "101 Launch Trailer" for the upcoming Far Cry 4. The video is 8-odd minutes long and explains everything about Kyrat, the fictional Himalayan country, the location used in the game.
RJ Rabi Rana takes us through the fictional kingdom. The protagonist of the game is Ajay Ghale, who travels home to fulfill his mother's dying wish but gets dragged into the chaotic world of civil war. The game's antagonist is the dictator Pagan Min whom players will have to challenge.
The protagonist will be tasked to reclaim Kyrat, however, it will not be easy, as one has to tackle Pagan Min and his army of thugs. So how do we deal with this oppressive machine? The video provides us with hints - take out the regional lieutenants and the propaganda towers. The radio waves are the key to power in the Himalayan kingdom.
The video mentions some of the close lieutenants of Min like Yuma. Players will face trouble not only from the bad guys but also from wild animals and slippery ice.
Players will have to team up with the Golden Path, who have been crusading against Pagan Min and his army. You will meet two important people here - Sabal and Amita.
Weapons will be an important feature in the Far Cry 4 and to tackle the tyrant, players will have to go in with guerilla warfare techniques. Knives or the cross-bows are the stealth weapons. But if players want to go Chuck Norris on the enemy, then they can choose the MG 42. Other weapons in the game include - elephant guns, mortar, M 79 Grenade Launcher, flaming cars, mines, tiger bait. The "element of surprise" plays an important role too in the game.
Players will have access to a variety of vehicles that they can take from the people of Kyrat like cars, dune buggies, jet skies, tut tuks, snow mobiles and hovercrafts. Players will also be able to hijack some military vehicles from Min's army and use them for his end. Vehicles can be used as bombs by strapping a C4 and riding them into enemy base. Another important vehicle that can be accessed in Far Cry 4 is the Gyrocopter.
Crafting and skills are also a part of the Far Cry 4. Players can hunt animals and use their skins in crafting. Players can raid the enemy camps with elephants. The game also allows players to craft the plants from the Himalaya for drugs and remedies.
Shangri - La mission allows players to delve into the mysteries of the older Kyrat and defend the place from evil.
Far Cry 4 will also have side quests to keep the players occupied. Players can go on adventures with the locals like ancient treasure hunting, making movies and shopping.
The game also offers co-op gameplay. Players can invite anyone to help them out in the game. The invited friend will be taking on the role of Hurk. Players will also be able to hire mercenaries in their war against the Pagan Min, it goes by the simple rule where you help them and in turn they help you out.
