Shah Rukh Khan's "Fan" trailer is out and it's looking great. The first-look posters and sneak peeks had created quite a rage, but the trailer has triggered ten-fold more craze.
SRK as superstar Aryan Khanna and fan-boy Gaurav Chandana will make you indulge in his fandom. He plays the 25-year-old Delhite with honesty and channels his obsession with the screen actor well. Meanwhile, his portrayal of the screen actor is equally praise-worthy.
What stands out in this three-minute long video is the thrill of the chases and action sequences. It is going to be a rollercoaster ride with this one.
The trailer was released Monday, Feb. 29, in the presence of Shah Rukh's many fans at the Yash Raj Films studio, Mumbai.
Ahead of the trailer release, the makers put out a new poster with an intriguing caption: "Duniya ke sabse bade superstar ka sabse bada FAN will cross paths with his idol soon. Here's the official #FANPoster."
"Fan" is an extremely special film for SRK and director Maneesh Sharma. The 50-year-old actor relived his younger days, the ones he spent in Delhi while shooting for the film. The filmmaker wanted to work with SRK and has been working on the script for a few years.
Scheduled for an April 15 release, the film is being marketed as a thriller. It is not a usual fan-meets-superstar story, and focuses more on the extremes of one's fixation with cine idols. "Director Maneesh Sharma was given the brief of getting back to screen the psycho lover from Darr. That's one Shah Rukh who has gone missing in the last two decades," a source told DNA.
