The 15th season of "Family Guy" is all set to air in September and the Griffin family will be returning with their odd adventures and unexpected turns of events. However, fans might be shocked to learn that Season 15 may be the last season of the long-running animated series.
According to the Blasting News, Seth MacFarlane, the creator and executive producer of "Family Guy," is currently busy with numerous other projects and he has a "heavy schedule" ahead of him, which might result in Season 15 to be the last season.
Several rumours state that MacFarlane is currently working on sequels to his previous movies, "Ted" and "A Million Ways to Die in the West." Game N Guide has also reported that he is supervising a new live comedy drama that would be set in space. If the rumours are true, "Family Guy" will fall behind against another long-running animated series, "The Simpsons."
If the series ends with Season 15, MacFarlane might come up with a "Family Guy" musical special as he has been planning to do so for some years now. Reports state that F20th Century Fox has agreed to his proposal too.
For now, there is no official information available whether the show will last with Season 15 or not. However, TV Line has reported that an exclusive first look poster of "Family Guy" has been revealed at this year's San Diego Comic-Con.
The poster features Peter, Lois and all the Griffin kids; Meg, Chris and Stewie. The poster also includes their dog Brian. It seems that the family is on a regular street of Quahog; the city where Griffin family resides.
"Family Guy" Season 15 is scheduled to air on Sept. 25.
