Bethesda has announced that "Fallout 4" will receive Survival mode update 1.5 on May 6. Both these have been already available on PC. So now they will be available on PS4 and Xbox One.
Survival mode has four major pillars as detailed by Bethesda in the blog post, and they include Strategy, Exploration, Resource Management and Role Playing.
The Survival mode has no quicksaving or autosaving features, and if the players really want to save the game, they will have to find a bed in-game and sleep there for 30 minutes. The mode does not feature Fast Travel and players have to get to locations in old-fashioned way.
The mode lets players take more damage and increases the damage players can deal on the opponents. The combat in the mode is "dangerous," according to the developer. The players will face threats that they have not faced before.
The mode has a new Perk called Adrenaline, which is the standard. Adrenaline provides players with a bonus to the damage output and it is increased by getting kills. The health of the character becomes important and they must be careful that the character they play is not fatigued as it can affect their Action Points (AP).
Update 1.5 will be inclusive of the new Survival mode, improvements to the third person camera movement and several issue fixes that bring general stability and performance improvements to the game.
Far Harbor DLC
Meanwhile, in other news related to "Fallout 4," Bethesda has revealed the release date of its Far Harbor DLC for May 19. This DLC is expected to be released on PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
The Far Harbor is an island that is located off the coast of Maine and is known to have higher radiation levels that has created terrifying creatures.
The players will have to "navigate" through the conflict between the synths, the Children of Atom, and the local townspeople. The players must decide if they want to bring peace to the region on to let them fight and kill amongst themselves.
