Are you thinking of pre-ordering your copy of Fallout 4, but backed out of it due to the amount needed to buy it?
Well, there may still be hope for you, since Bethesda is actually accepting bottle caps as a form of payment for pre-ordering the game.
If you know the Fallout series by heart, you will also know that bottle caps are the backbone of the economy in the Fallout franchise, since they can be used as currency.
Keeping this in mind, a person called Seth tried pulling off a sort of practical joke on the guys at Bethesda.
Seth apparently requested a Fallout 4 pre-order in exchange for the 2,240+ bottle caps he had been saving for the last seven-and-a-half years.
And you know what? Bethesda obliged and informed him that the company was actually willing to receive bottle caps in exchange for the pre-order request for the game – who knew it was this easy?
"Bethesda Global Community Lead Matt Grandstaff told me since I was the first person to do this, I would be receiving a copy of the game this November, and that he would be running my caps over to deposit them at the People's Bank of Point Lookout," Seth revealed on Reddit.
Now that's what we call customer service!
But if you think you can also do the same and exchange your rusty old bottle caps for a copy of the game, forget it. Seth was specific when he said that Bethesda obliged to his request since he was the first to dare. They won't fall for the same trick twice.
Fallout 4 is expected to hit the shelves officially for next gen consoles and PC later this year.
Stay tuned for more updates!
