The young sensation of South Indian cinema Fahadh Faasil and Nazriya Nazim got married on Thursday, 21 August.
The traditional 'nikah' ceremony was held at 12 noon at Al-Saj Convention Centre in Kazhakuttam, Thiruvananthapuram.
After the function, the newly wed couple gave a brief appearance to the media and fans.
Meanwhile, the entry to the wedding hall is restricted to those who are personally invited by the families and is a grand function with 4,000 guests, including stars from various South Indian film industries, politicians and others.
Reports suggest that there will be a grand lunch for the guests, which includes 70 exclusive cuisines from different parts of the country.
The wedding venue is under strict security surveillance. More than 100 policemen, including the bomb squad are placed to keep a check on fans and media. The area around the convention centre also suffered heavy traffic block in the morning, but was later cleared by the police.
As the part of the wedding customs, a traditional 'Haldi' function was held at Nazriya's home in Trivandrum on 19 August. The function was witnessed by close family and friends including actress Meera Nandhan. The 'Mylanchi' function was held at a hotel in Kovalam and was attended by many young stars including Dulquer Salmaan.
The star couple will spend the rest of the day in Thiruvananthapuram, which is Nazriya's hometown. Later, a grand reception will be hosted by Fahadh's family and friends on Sunday, 24 August.
